Andover Cricket Club Autumn Update

After consecutive promotions at the end of both the 2014 and 2015 seasons, Andover Second XI, sponsored by Test Valley Windows, found the going tough in County Division 1 of the Hampshire Cricket League in 2016.
After only winning one league game in the whole of May and June, they rallied and put together three wins in a row in July. With one further win in early August they were unlucky not to be able to complete the match against Bishops Waltham later in the month having posted a great score of 305 in 50 overs thanks to a club-wide top score of the season of 156 from captain, Harry Blackburn.
5 wins in the season were not enough, however and the Seconds move back down to County Division One next year.
Despite battling away the seconds could not avoid relegation.
Below is the club’s autumn newsletter which covers all the teams.
